Picture Page 7

The frame in my garage at home. Getting it off the back of my truck without a winch or hoist of any kind was fun! I will get around to painting it on a warm day. Unfortunately this past month we seem to have just run out of those!

This is another view looking down the side where the wheels will run. The wheels are not seen on the train yet so this will sit higher then it looks here. The track will be bolted together in two piece sections so it will be able to be handled by one person. This being an art project it has to be able to be moved easily.

This is a close up of the tires installed so that moving it around would be easier while we are fitting the walls and flooring.

Another view of the tires used to move it around.

This is Part of the decoration I am working on for the car. These are copper and the brown coloring is hard ground for etching. I was looking at the older signs for carnivals and games for inspiration. There are two of these and they will go on the very back of the car. The other one is turned the opposite direction and I am going to paint a picture in the middle of each one after I etch it.

This was taken after I etched it.

This is the box of flooring and the two handrails that will be in front of each seat.

Here are some upstop wheels and one of the road wheels again. I am waiting for machine time to bore the center holes.

The floorboard is off to the side. This sits down inside the car, but not quite on the very bottom as a PTC car does. My floor is elevated by another two inches or so. This makes more floor space but may provide a different ride with the higher center of gravity. Will it make a difference? I don't know for sure but I can't wait to find out!

The floor is installed. This is the rear of the car.

Here is another shot of the flooring.

And another shot of the flooring! This is the front of the car.

Looking down the track again.

This is from another project I am working on, the carousel. It's a sterling silver ring that can be worn or stored in it's place on the carousel.
